Brief Description:  Bookend part 3

I cut out the foam for the flox corner and sanded the glass. I had some trouble here because as I was slurrying the urethane foam, bits of foam came off with the squeegee, and made a micro/urethane slurry that was thicker than the slurry should have been. (I think that was the problem.) This made the glass very hard to sand, because there was a layer of urethane dust mixed with epoxy over where I was supposed to sand to. In the end, I used the Fein tool as a sander (what it was designed for, after all) and got it sanded pretty dull.

I mixed up the flox next. I have to re-watch the video to see just how thick the flox should look, since what I though was perfect ended up exploding my dispensing bag, and then ended up having some white cotton spots in it. I mixed it with even more epoxy, and that seemed to sort things out a bit.

The rest of the layup was a snap after the flox. I trimmed it later, and sanded the edges down before the EAA meeting
