I have not spent much time on my aircraft of late due to a shift in focus from that to my new rolewith the Artis Group as GM - Southern Region.
But, it was important that given I have spent so much time on the engine that I make sure that it is well and truely protected. To this end I purchased 14 dessicant plugs for the engine along with multiple bags of dessicant to use elsewhere should it be required.
The reason for 14 was 2 sets + a couple of spares...
I ant to rotate the engine with some oil in it soon to make sure that the camshaft and lobes are well protected. I dont want to perform the full Lycoming preservation as the engine has just come out of vacuum packaging, and it should see its first start within 6 months.
