Brief Description:  Mounting engine to firewall.

Having recently unboxed my new UL350iS, I couldn't wait to see what it looked like on the airplane, so I spent the whole day in the hangar. I trimmed the upper mounting points to fit around a pre-existing rivet. The bottom points did not need to be trimmed at all, the holes were drilled to their final size as well. Once all the trimming was done and filed smooth and the holes deburred, I cleaned and scuffed the engine mount and painted it with self priming red Krylon paint, using about 3 coats to fully cover it. Once that was dry I pulled the engine out of the crate and mounted the mount onto the engine. I tightened the mounting points to 45mm of compression of the rubber mounts. Lastly the mount was brought up to the firewall and attached with the four AN6's and two AN4's. The bolts were torqued to their appropriate spec.
