I attached the VS so I could determine the exact location of the fairing and attach it using rivnuts. This would allow the painter to continue the design scheme onto the fairing. While it is not heavy 3 people were required to attach the VS.
It took longer to attach the fairing - I forgot to take a picture of that- than it did to attach the VS. The manual attaches the fairing with rivnuts but these sit above the skin of the FU and so I may replace them with countersunk rivnuts.
