Brief Description: TC - Visit, Rear Spar Rivetting

I visited my local TC today, and presented the Vertical fin for inspection before it was closed up. Overall, he was happy with the progress and quality of work, he pointed out a few things to work on and improve, but there weren’t any rivets that required replacing.
So that afternoon I installed the rear spar onto the vertical fin, closing off the front spar and the D section of the leading edge. I was able to used the squeezer on the majority of the rivets, there were only four rivets that I could not get too, which were around the middle steel brackets which clamp over the rudder.
Luckily I have a milling machine, so I was able to modify my older less used bucking bar, I trimmed up a few faces on the bucking bar, making the shoe end narrower and able to fit into the tight corner of the vertical stab without damaging the brackets or rivets on the rear spar.
I also used the cherry rivet gun for the first time, I took the time to re lubricate the stem of the rivet, and then pulled up rivet.
First finished sub assembly! Very exciting and pleasing, giving me a bit more motivation to get after the next few stages!
