Manual Reference:  Starter Wire
Brief Description:  Route starter wire from firewall to starter.

I tried several routes with a rubber hose and decided to include the starter and alternator wire in the same route. A couple WDG12 engine mount tube adel clamps plus matching WDG6 starter wire adel clamps keep the wire nicely secure from the starter relay to the engine mount. WDG8 clamps include the alternator wire from there to the foreward right curve of the engine sump. Adels on the sump got holes enlarged to 1/4. One on forward engine block was enlarged to 5/16. SCAT tubing from the heat exchanger on #1 exhaust shares that route. An additional clamp above the mixture linkage bracket gives me the nice 90 turn to the starter. A 90 bend on the starter lug allows the cable to be attached straight at the starter without any side pressures. The starter is Skytec's newest XLT starter. In retrospect, it would have been better if the starter wire connection was on the side rather than the back, but it all works.
