Manual Reference:  Drill Gap Seal
Brief Description:  Misc finish parts on aileron

Now that flaps are dimpled and ready to prime, I removed the ailerons and drilled the aileron gap seal on left wing. Had to add holes in the gap seal to fit over 470 rivets in rear spar by previous builder on that wing. Should have used flush rivets, but either way works. Also, when I measured the left aileron travel with a previously made aileron stop clecoed in place, I measured 32 degrees up. I made a new aileron stop and now I have 30 degrees up and 17 degrees down on both wings. Of course the aileron up stop is what limits the opposite wing's down aileron travel, so they're now identical. The outer aileron bracket bolt used 3 washers for one spacer so I made a .1875 wide spacer to use instead. Gave one close clearance rivet shop head an extra squeeze in the outer aileron bracket to allow more clearance. It previously cleared ok but I wanted a little more space. Production primer day tomorrow with other parts included so I use up the available paint.
