Clamped an undrilled outboard aileron hanging bracket to aileron and clamped outboard wing spar mounting bracket in place and took measurements everywhere. Had to adjust the aileron bracket a little to get the fit right. Marked the proper position onto the aileron spar and removed the aileron for drilling the bracket permanently. Takes 2 AN3-4A bolts, washers and nuts to mount the bracket onto the aileron. I reamed the holes for a great fit and also reamed the 3/16 bolt holes in inboard and outboard aileron brackets to prepare for the the AN3-10A bolts which hold the aileron to the wing bracket and allow it to pivot as you move the ailerons. Trial fitted the flap by clamping the hinge to the inboard bottom skin and validated the position vs. the aileron and how the two met each other and aligned with each other. It is all going to go together very nicely. Can't wait to finish the wing. So, left to do is: - Rivet bottom inboard skin - Rivet aileron gap seal and flap/skin bracket/stiffener. - Measure and cut spacers for the mounting bolts. - Complete aileron control linkage - Install new landing light lens. - Trim forward outboard edge of curved flap skins to avoid the aileron connecting rods. Move on to left wing flap/aileron mounting.
