Brief Description:  Left Flap #11 - Riveting

Finished riveting the internal ribs....one small smiley, one rivet to drill out...of course, the smiley is on the top skin for all to see (it's not really that noticeable, but I can see it real well).

By the end of the night, I was rather upset with myself and not too happy about the poorly written instructions and plans for flaps, as I've mentioned earlier. Up until now, the instructions pretty much have been written in a logical order that won't get you in trouble. The instructions tell you "to think about the order" of putting the flap actuator bracket together, and riveting it to the spar, then they go on to tell you to use blind rivets to connect the internal ribs to the spar, then rivet the skins and hinge to the spar, then finally install the end ribs. Sooooo, I carefully put the flap bracket pieces together and onto the spar, and when I was done with that and admiring a job well done, I noticed there was no way to buck the rivets of the top skin to the end rib (see arrow in picture).

So, after drilling out a few of the big -4 rivets, I decided it was time to wrap it up and call it a day.
