Brief Description:  Left Wing #15 - 2nd leak check/ Long pushrods

Hooked up the manometer. Taped up the fuel cap area, snugged everything down, filled the tube up with some colored water, and started pumping. According to Van's instructions, 2'3" of difference in the the water levels equals 1 psi. So I marked the tubing and recorded the ambient temp and pressure.

Started work on the long aileron pushrods. Measured, rough cut with a hacksaw, knocked it down on the belt sander, and finished it with a file. Got one of the rod ends drilled for riveting and called it a night.

To ensure proper edge distance on the rod end, I drilled one hole in it, then drilled one hole in the tube at the proper edge distance. I'll insert the the rod end, put a cleko through the holes, then mark and drill the other 5.

I'm a little dismayed that the water level dropped about 7/8" in 2 hours with no drastic change in temp. I did a little checking with leaktec, but couldn't find anything. I'll have to do some research...
