After a month of garage sales, spring cleaning, and a vacation, I finally got back to work on the empannage.
Did the last bit of priming of empennage parts. Next time that stuff gets used is on wing parts! I really have come to dread the priming process...and I'm using the relatively easy stuff (AFS Primer/Sealer). I couldn't imagine going through the whole wash, alodine, etch, mix, prime process every time...not the mention the nasty chemicals. Anyway, I think I will continue to use the AFS product, except on the wings I will only be priming the structural parts, not the internal skin.
Assembled the left elevator skeleton. Clecoed on the the skin and started riveting. The new rivet squeezer is great!!!!
