Dave and I fabricated a backer plate for the rear tie down ring which Dave picked up at the Home Depot Aviation Department. The plate was made from a cut out of one of the steel desk legs.
The first picture shows the plate inside the tail (no flash). The second picture was taken with a flash which shows the carbon fiber reinforcement very well.
