Cut holes in vertical stab for rudder cables, rudder brackets, access into tail, and elevator rear bellcrank and rod. I also cut a hole in the top of the tail to gain access to attach the nuts to the bracket bolts. Much easier than trying to go in below the upper bracket. The hole below the top bracket is only an inspection hole and was not used to install the top bracket.
The rudder cable holes will need to be enlarged a bit becasue the cable rubs against the bottom of the hole. I also had to enlarge the access hole (the big one) in order to get my big hands inside the tail.
Easy to put nuts on bolts from the top. From what I've read, nearly impossible from below.
