Well, this would have been a lot easier had I installed the mounting plate before closing out the wing tip and bonding it to the wing. First time builder ignorance is going to cost me some time. Step 1 is to mark the outline of the light's base and drill holes to attach the mounting bracket.
Here's where the ignorance comes into play. I can't access the back side to get a nut on the screw. It would have been pretty easy before the close out. This bracket needs to have one screw grounded, so I can't use a nutplate for that screw. I'll also need to pass a molex connector into the wing to power the light. That's going to need some thought. Today, I'll just match drill the mounting plate screw holes.
