The transponder came with a mounting plate with three screw holes. It could be mounted directly to the floor, but that would require 3 through holes in the belly which is something I'm trying to avoid.
I fabricated a mounting bracket for the transponder from the galvanized steel I salvaged from the desk leg ends. The feet are bent to eliminate the need for angled alunimum. Two bends on each side and three screw holes; this task is complete. I'll be able to mount it very close to the transponder antenna, so a short coax cable is all that will be needed.
