Brief Description:  Autopilot Roll Servo - 1

Temporary monuting of the AP Roll servo to the wing root. The Dynon mounting kit included a 9" aluminum rod that needed to be tapped out to receive the bearing threads. The kit contains 3/16" bearings which receive an AN3 bolt. The stick mixer uses an AN4 bolt, so I could only use one of the included bearings. Thankfully, I had a bearing to use on the stick mixer end that was the correct size. I think it was designated for the aileron push tube, so I'll order a new one from Spruce so that I'll have it when it's time to install the aileron push rods.

This is a temporary because its going to be a pain getting the nuts on the bolts under the servo mounting bracket. So, to test the servo and measure the rod, I'm using Lowes bolts pushed out which is much easier. I want the nuts inside the root instead of the outside because I'll never see the outside of the wing root once the wings are installed. To be sure the nuts have not loosened, I'll appply torque sealer to the nuts and bolts. To see this, it will need to be inside. This is one of those long explanations for the benefit of builders after me.
