Brief Description: Fabricated left wing/root fairing
We used two layers of fiberglass to form the wing root fairings. The procedure went like this: 1- Tape the wing root with painter's tape, then glossy packing tape. We want the epoxy to stick to the wing, not the root. 2- Fill the big gaps fairly smooth with flox and the smaller gaps with microballoons because it's easier to sand. 3- Once the gaps are filled and dry to the touch, cover with fiberglass tape and epoxy (tomorrow). 4- Let cure.
