I built my gear legs with the fuselage upside down making sure it was level side to side, front to back. I used the upper longeron for my leveling reference. I attached an axel jig out of 2x4 to hold the axel in place. I attached a string to the tail wheel and ran it to the axel so I had the same line as the fuselage. I used 2x4 pine to make test legs.
