After cleaning up a bit I started on the windscreen. I cut a piece of wood and fastened it to the front of the fuselage so that when the windscreen touches it, the windscreen will be ten inches from the front. Earlier I painted the top of the fuselage so I marked where I need to remove the paint. I noticed the windscreen fit really well when there was 1/2" distance to the second rivet in the fuselage on both sides, so that became my rough placement. I trimmed the protective plastic off both sides so that I could trim the glass where needed. It appears that I have about a quarter inch od glass to trim off the sides, and only about 1/8" on the top. Once doe, I will shave a little off the windscreen where it lays on the fuselage to eliminate any gaps.
