I finished the manufacture of the lower cowl support plates and got them installed. They replaced the hinges that have been failing in the field. It makes it a little more difficult to remove the lower cowling because you now have ten screws to remove instead of two but it will save me the frustration of replacing in the future. Next I fit the upper and lower cowling together. I must have removed them 15 times, each reime moving .010 material until both cowlings could be installed and maintain.026 gap between them along the outboard sides. The spec was .020-.032 gap. I called Zac at Aerosport to see if he could ship me a couple RV10 pin covers. He said they were out of stock...but was going to see if he could get them out by the end of the week.
