Back from Oshkosh... What a great time. I spent a couple hours buffing the firewall with METALL compound I got at Oshkosh. turned out great. With all the forward parts painted, Kris and I back riveted the forward bottom skin to the forward fuselage ribs, the FT-60 (red cube fuel flow transducer) and the left/right forward bulkhead assemblies. After they were secure, I ran a bead of Fire Stop caulk on the forward skin where it attaches to the firewall. Once the forward assembly was set in place it was finish riveted. All forward floor ribs were riveted to the firewall and to the fuselage at the aft. The systems brackets were then added. I ended the day by bolting and riveting the forward section bulkhead assembly. Tomorrow I plan to join the forward section with the middle section for the final time. They will be permanently joined with bolts and rivets.
