Brief Description: Insulation patterns and forward sub assemblies
I plan to install closed cell, foil backed aircraft insulation. I believe the forward section under the floor pan would have offered the most challenge getting the insulation to fit right the first cut because all the pieces are trapezoid in shape. To help in that effort, I temporally placed some construction paper between the forward skin and firewall sub assembly, all floor ribs, the forward bulkhead and systems brackets. Once clecoed to the skin, I traced each part where the edge of the insulation would be. After removing all the components, I was left with nice patters for my forward insulation. I also had time to assemble some of the forward sub assemblies. Next week is Oshkosh...so no work on the plane.
