Brief Description: Sealing the manufacture holes in the fuel tank
Van's instructions recommends cleaning the rivets prior to use for the fuel tank. I found it handy to just use MEK and a paint strainer. I taped all the areas where I was going to put sealant to make it easier to clean up. Originally I was going to plug the manufacture holes with a AN470AD5-3.5 rather then rivet a cover over them. The first two worked great.. but the sealant made it so slippery that I could not squeeze it. So on four of the ribs, I used their recommendation and covered the holes with a .032 piece of aluminum. The scale I bought made getting the right mix right. Book recommends 10:1 ratio.
