Yesterday I marked the bottom skin rivet lines, today it is time for the top skin, before hoisting the framework out of the way so that I could start marking the rivet centre lines and commence drilling the pilot holes.
By using long straight battens tacked onto on the table, very near the front spar, I could hold the skin firm against the framework, whilst curing the rest around the ribs and holding with clamps.
Such large skins reqire great care when handling to avoid accidental kinks & dings. So far so good.
