Brief Description:  Fitting top kin & Fuel tank ,left wing

Finished drilling the 1/8 holes for the rivets to the top skin, then placed the fuel tank into position so that I could work out the spacing of the fixing spaces for the tank.

A lot of looking well ahead required here and carefull measurements to avoid misplaced holes.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I did not like the large gaps between the flap and the top wing skin and could not see the reason for this. Big gaps will give big drag as I see it, so I remade the skin extension behind the fuel tank after calculating that I should be able to add a further 65mm to the 100 mm of overhang to the rear of the back spar. It can always be trimmed back later, easier than try to add more. I made the cut out of the big skin to match

I did a similar thing in the aileron area, after making a cardboard model of the aileron & spar arrangement and with the aileron up at the 22 degree of up travel, worked out that I should be able to add and extra 43 mm to the 100mm of overhang of the top skin in this area as well.

Will be heading out west camping for a few weeks, so the work goes on hold once again.
