Finished off the fibre glassing of the cowl where the pin covers go. Glen used a dremmel to grind down the excess fibre glass then we riveted the nut plates on and countersunk the covers for the screws. Did some more sanding of the cowl and know the cowl is complete, ready for first flight. We did an engine run with the cowl on to see if the engine would continue to run with the electric fuel pump turned off after the start.We ran it for only 2 minutes, it was a little hot out today. Today is Wednesday, so we went over to Gary's hangar for a BBQ, Laura came down with us. John K was also over for the first time.
