Brief Description: Elevator Counter Weights and Left Trim Tab
Trimmed all four E-614 counter weights as per directions making dedicated left and right sets. Attached left counter weight set to left elevator. Cut trim tab clamp blocks. Completed the trailing edge bend on both trim tab skins. Clecoed E-920 to E-919 to check the bend. Bent the tabs on the left trim tab skin as per directions and clecoed the trim tab spar back in. Match drilled the #30 holes on both ends. Bend the lower skin to approximated 15 degrees as directed. Trimmed the trim tab horns and clecoed them to the left trim tab. Match drilled all remaining common holes with #40 drill. Cut piano hinge into two pieces as directed, marked and drilled the #40 holes. Mounted hinge to left elevator and match drilled the #40 holes. Mounted the left trim tab and matched drilled the #40 holes for the hinge. Marked the end of the piano hinge and trimmed to length. Drilled 1/16" safety wire holed in elevator and bend hinge pin to shape.
