Brief Description: Connecting Right Forward Spar to Wing Truss
Today I finished deburring and cleaning the wing ribs for the right wing. They came out good.
1. I prepped the right truss by drilling out the bolt holes to clean out excess power coat. Cleaned both ends.
2. Once the truss was ready I laid out the hardware and tools to connect it to the frowrd wing spar. The access to the inside of the wing spar is very limited. I had problems with the washers falling off the bolt inside the wing spar before I could start the nut. I put a magnet on the bolt head and this held the washer in place for me to start a nut.
3. The spar-truss connection came out good. You can not see the Lexan spacer between the spar and truss but it is there.
