Today i checked the foam plugs I sprayed inside the aileron spar tubes. The one in the left aileron is good and i was able to add lead shot and get it balanced. i just taped up the end of the tube for today and will install the foam outer plug when both ailerons are balanced. I then checked the right wing and the plug was no good and foam had filled in the bottom 1/4 of the spar tube. This Great Stuff foam is very hard to remove. i had to get wire bottle brushes and tape them to an 18" socket extension and turn it to slowly cut out the old foam. the brush and extension are shown in picture #2. Next to put in another plug i cut about 20" of refrigerant hose (yellow) and pushed in the red discharge tube from the Great Stuff. I used this set up to put in the new plug in the right aileron and set it to the side to cure. Great Stuff is a terrible mess to work with. Be prepared for it with plenty of paper towels ans some acetone for clean up.
