Brief Description:  Rear Spar

I got the rear spars done except for some errors I made and I still have 2 holes to cut out. I formed up the right rear spar and laid out all the measurements, measured twice even. Problem was, I was measuring wrong. I felt things were going so smoothly too. The plans call for dimension cut from the longer edge (top), well it was easier to transfer the measurments to the lower edge which was where my 9/32 from the edge line was. The difference is 3/16" so I just added 3/16" on to all my measurements. OOPS, I should have subracted the 3/16"!!! No all my holes are about 3/8" off from where they needed to be. I wrote Kerry to see if there was any structural reason I could not just fill them with rivets and move on. I am also going to call and see how much a new one shipped would be. It only costs $22 for the long piece and $12 for the short piece, which I need too because I cut it too short. Shipping might kill me though. I was able to use the piece with the errors at as a template for my left one after I made the corrections. The left one came out perfect so not all is lost. I am sure I have plenty to keep my busy while waiting for a new one in the event I have to wait for a replacement.

I was just out of it today. I had 3 hours sleep the night before (because of work), then last night slept poorly due to 9 boys sleeping over for my sons birthday. After going to bed LATE then waking at least 3 times to have to deal with someone throwing up, teasing, crying, and other fun stuff. I was tired. I then spent 3 hours doing math homework for college (that probably fried me for the day with math).
