I started the day by modifying the pitot assembly to be less in the slip stream. I also mounted the gascolator and installed all the fittings. I rinsed out the fuel tank as well. There was a lot of leftover plastic from when the threads were cleaned out. Once the tank dries completely, I will add the main fittings from the tank to the firewall. This is the last foreseeable thing I needed to do before I mount the engine, as far as the firewall fwd goes.
To top off the night, I went into the N number inquiry on FAA website and my registration has been processed! I am stoked! Now I should have little problem in scheduling the airworthiness inspection.
