Date:  1-16-2012
Number of Hours:  5.00
Manual Reference:  SNX-W08
Brief Description:  Right Spar drilling

I got the right spar out, I then cleaned all the pieces, laid out and matched up the parts, cleco'ed the together, aligned and clamped my way down to the tip using the spacers, and drilled the spar cap at the rib locations to secure it. I then went through the drawings and made the notations on what holes were what. This round was much neater than the last. I seem to be making some fast progress, I think that is mainly because I am not as intimidated anymore and I am already familiar with the basic layout. I am however keeping alert for differences. Most notably, the main spar web will be the piece getting dimpled this time, instead of a smaller (and cheaper) piece.

I got about 1/4 of the way done, maybe more. I should be able to finish drilling the pilot holes tomorrow, then I am going to break it down, deburr, countersink/dimple, then reassemble and updrill. When I updrill is when I will mock up all the remaining pieces (I might choose to do this earlier though).
