Today I started building the radio stack. I have the PAR100 unit, but for the GTN650 I only have the tray and wiring requirements. The unit being pricey, I've put that off for later..feeling that money will go further elsewhere for now.
The problem, I find, is that the fit of the PAR100 to it's tray doesn't flush the two together...there is a gap, and that gap is thicker than my panel...so I had to set the tray back into the opening by a tenth or two. My worry is that the Garmin will be the same and it won't fit properly when it shows up. The Garmin manual is pretty specific though, so I hold some hope that in the end it will all fit.....maybe.
