Manual Reference:  Tail light wiring
Brief Description:  Routing and connecting the tail light wires

I temporarily attached the vertical stab so that I could mark its edges on the face of the aft bulkhead. This gave me an idea of where I could safely drill a hole to pass the tail light wire through. I wanted it low so that the wire can go straight through to the rudder bottom cap and tail light.

After drilling/deburring the hole and applying a snap bushing, I passed the wire through and terminated it with connectors for the tail light. The section of wire from the fuselage bulkhead rearward is protected by clear refrigerator tubing from Home Depot: This should help shield the wire from chafe at the point it enters the forward-most part of the rudder.

Hooked it up and tested...the light works!
