Brief Description: Torqued Rear HS Bearing/Applied Torque Seal
This stuff comes in a variety of colors. I love orange and will be painting this airplane as such. Torqued the bolts to 25 Inch Pounds. Used the chart in section 5.20 of the plans. The torque chart says to torque between 20-25 inch pounds. The nuts are nylon lock which have drag. The forums I read all say to measure the drag and add this to the torque chart. I called Vans Support and they told me to simply go with the highest setting in the chart (25) and it will be perfect. I followed their advice. Torque Seal can get really messy so take your time. I added a bit more after it was dry to get the threads included... I originally did not put it on the threads because everything I've read says not to get it on the threads. Not sure why it's a big deal because it's not like it's ever coming off unless something goes horribly wrong.
