A lot of fiddling around with the crankshaft today, trying to determine why the end play varies with crank rotation. In the end the crankshaft is true, but the prop hub is out of round. For more information see page 144 of my written notes.
Disassemble valves from the cylinder heads, clean all and reassemble.
I see that the cooling fins are misaligned where the casting mould parting line is, see PIC's. Another example of an "Elegant" engine package? NOT !
