...Final adjustment of aileron controls...After attempting to install 5702-75-60 tiny washers on either side of aileron bellcrank and Heim fitting, I called Van's. Ken suggested removing bellcranks and installing on the workbench. This took an hour each but I had already wasted far more time failing. Had to turn the whole bellcrank assembly to reinstall the Heim fitting into the torque tube. Installed 5702-95-30 washers around bearings in aileron push tube end of bracket using a special thin split tool that will hold the washer while allowing you to insert it in place and drop the bolt down thru from above. Oh my aching back. Praise the Lord, it is finished!
