Tom designed a much shorter oil pickup line that uses a 120 degree AN fitting and about 8 inches of hose.
I decided to replace the 22" 10D hose in favor of the shorter one.
I spent this time removing the fitting from the oil pickup on the backside of the engine case. This was also necessary to ensure the finger strainer was in place. I could not find documentation of this so I decided to check. It was there.
