I received the K-1000-4 nut plates today. I installed them in the seat base panel as previously discussed and using standard techniques.
Next, I decided to paint the bare fiberglass channel that was created for the cowl split skybolt flanges. I used single stage epoxy bilge paint as previously detailed.
