Brief Description:
Fabricate Gas Strut Jig
1800 - 1936
Fabricate bushings per plans, modified for iflyrv10.com strut brackets. using Smithy Lathe, 4x.
Separate grind, sand, debur, and smooth all edges of C-1013 strut attach brackets using bandsaw, file bench sander and s/b wheel, 4x.
Fabricate strut jig using 1/4" masonite per plans.
Assemble strut jig using temporary hardware and washers to center jig between brackets.
Temporarily install in fuselage.
Verify fit of C-1013 brackets on door surface, adjust as necessary to provide clearance for the window opening return.
