Brief Description:
Prepare Door Channel for Seal
1748 - 1912
Used the same technique to create a 1/4" uniform gap between the door and channel.
First covered door surface with packing tape.
Applied 3/16" x 1 1/4" weatherstripping over tape. The tape actually expanded to almost 1/4", so we will see what the result is.
Applied another layer of packing tape over the weatherstripping. The tape serves as a mold release as the epoxy won't stick to it.
Apply epoxy, flox, cabo mix to the door channel edge,
Close and clamp the door in position such that epoxy was squeezed between the door channel and taped door surface.
Remove excess epoxy.
