I spent a few hours last night with Autodesk Inventor designing a flap sensor bracket for the flap torque tube. Once I had the design that allowed full travel of the sensor with full flap travel, I printed it on a FlashForge 3D printer. It is printed in ABS which should yield sufficient rigidity and strength to drive the sensor. The bracket will be attached to the torque tube with a SS hose clamp.
Time spent in the shop was dedicated to finding the best location for the sensor and designing a linkage. I plan on using ball and socket ends on a threaded rod. A trip to the hobby shop tomorrow will yield the parts I need to install the sensor.
