I riveted the #4 nutplates to the underside of the right wing tip lens flanges using soft rivets, then scuffed the whole area ready to bed the lens in epoxy and Aerosil. I put a few layers of tape on the lens first, which should provide some room for smoothing off with colour paint. I expect the lens will screw down flush without any major distortion, and the epoxy will smooth the transition between the lens surface and the wing tip itself for cleaner looking lines.
