Brief Description:  Fabricating and Installing Control Locks

The Safari doesn't have any control friction devices and these shouldn't really be used as control locks anyway. The Construction manual provides good drawings so you can make up a set of effective locks. I would have preferred a less bulky cyclic lock but it is functional. I ordered a Kwik-Lok release pin from McMaster-Carr for the cyclic lock and another one for the rear blade support bracket used when trailering the ship.

I used a red colored rubberized plastic dip coating (like what's used on plier handles) to help protect the control sticks. The material is available in a dip or spray version at most larger hardware stores.
