Miss dimpled right elevator skin on top side stiffener area. Attempted repair that resulted in stretching the skin in the local area. Ordered new skin E-901-R. Root cause of dimpling error was lack of cotrol of E-901-R skin while using the C-Frame dimpler. Lack of material control resulted from trying to hold the skin open by hand during dimpling. The skin flexed upward and moved latteraly just before striking the anval on the C-Frame dimple tool. Moved on to left Elevator while waiting the right skin to ship. Built simple wooden L bracket to hold skin open for better control. See entree for Left Elevator.
