After a careful review of my engine installation, I decided to attach the vertical exhaust hangers directly onto the engine mount as indicated in the instructions I received from Vetterman exhaust. However, I do not have a center engine mount leg so I opted to use a horizontal support between the two exhausts.
In order to locate the exhausts to the outboard edges of the exit air opening, I had to cut a piece of 4130 tubing 3/8" x 0.050" to act as a spacer. I will paint this spacer before final installation to protect it from corrosion.
