Brief Description:  Engine oil cooler - Pt 3

After some thought, I opted to make a single support arm in the aft section of the cooler and a dual "V" shaped support for the forward section of the cooler. After trimming the support arms to fit, a friend of mine brought his MIG welder to the hanger and welded these for me.

Once I had installed the cooler assembly, I found the gap between the cooler and the baffle was a little bit too tight. I'll need to trim the plenum to create about 1/4" gap then reinstall the seal. I Image 3 you can see the seal folded into the inlet side of the opening when I want it folded outward. I have also decided to add a third support from the cooler to the vertical engine mount leg (located just inboard of the cooler) to prevent the cooler from twisting sideways with the vibrations it will encounter during flight.
