Brief Description: 1: Relocating the Throttle Cable Penetration
This morning I started on the modifications necessary to accomodate the revised nose gear leg. I removed the nose gear shock absorber, then took out the throttle cable eyeball fitting and cleaned it up by removing as much of the dried sealing compound as I could.
I then drilled the new hole as per revised Drawing 19, in the back of the firewall recess box. With the hole deburred and smoothed I then fitted the eyeball fitting with new fireproof sealant.
I also noticed that the cover that fits on the inside now needs a notch shaped into it so that it fits around the eyeball fitting locknut, so I did that as well.
The throttle cable penetration relocated to the firewall recess, as per revised Drawing 19
How it looks from the inside
I had to notch the centre tunnel cover so it fits around the cable pass-thru lock nut
