Today I also started mounting a few things to the front side of the firewall. While at AirVenture I got myself a battery box specifically designed for the Earth-X lithium battery, as well as the battery and starter relays.
Although fitting these parts is quite straight forward, I have gone non-standard here so had to be careful when interpreting the plans. I needed to make a few minor deviations from the standard mounting hole locations as my parts are slightly different sizes to those shown in the drawings.
This should not have taken three hours, but I took it very slowly and double checked every little bit before proceeding. I still managed to get the relay mounting plate doubler wrong. The one shown in the picture is my second attempt.
