With the seat belt cables installed I thought what the heck, I'm gonna test out the pilot side harness. I made up the small spacers required at each of the harness attach points, which needed to be cut from stock aluminium tube, reamed to size, then alodined.
With the spacers done I could then bolt my four-point harness in. I've decided not to install the fifth point (crotch strap) as I don't feel it's necessary in my non-aerobatic RV-9A. I'm confident that a four point harness will be totally fine.
Naturally with the harness installed I then had to do some hangar flying to test it out. Yep, it works a treat!
